ABOUT ME
EXPERIENCE
I have been working with people with chronic pain, chronic health conditions, women's health issues, medical trauma, insomnia, depression, and anxiety for over a decade. Together, we work to minimize stress and it's impact on your mind and body, reduce pain and discomfort, and maximize your quality of life. I provide both brief and long-term therapy to help you set and reach goals according to your own personal values.
I use an eclectic style that incorporates cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, emotional awareness and expression therapy (EAET), pain reprocessing therapy (PRT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I work flexibly, tailoring my approach to the unique strengths of each client. If you are looking for a mental health provider who wears a suit and is politely distant, you’ve got the wrong gal. I use humor, self disclosure, and sarcasm regularly in my sessions and find this allows for an environment where folks feel more at ease sharing their experiences and facilitates rapport.
